The All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) is an annual examination which is conducted by the 

National Law University, Delhi (NLU-Delhi). NLU-Delhi has, over the years, become one of the top and most prestigious law schools in the country owing to its rankings, alumni and faculty. 

The AILET examination is conducted by NLU-Delhi for admissions to their UG, PG and PhD programmes at a national level.

 AILET PG 2023 Seat Allotment Breakdown

The official website lays down the seat allotment and the reservation fixed for each of the categories. Candidates who wish to avail the benefit of the reservation must ensure that they fulfil the eligibility criteria for such reservation. The seat allotment for each reserved category is discussed below:

AILET PG 2023 Seat Allotment Procedure

The AILET PG 2023 Seat Allotment procedure is announced by the National Law University of Delhi. Candidates appearing for the AILET PG 2023 exam will be given preference as per their categories. Based on the AILET exam marks, the merit list will be released.

Candidates appearing for the AILET PG 2023 exam have to secure the cutoff marks to make themselves eligible for admission. For Post Graduation or LLM programs, usually, 2-3 merit lists are released depending on how many seats have been allotted.

What is the total number of seats available for AILET PG 2023?

The total number of seats available for the AILET PG 2023 is 81. There is also reservation for candidates belonging to reserved categories or foreign nationals. The details are noted in the above blog. 

What is the application fee for AILET PG 2023?

Candidates applying for the AILET PG 2023 will have to pay INR 3,500 if they belong to the General/OBC/EWS/Foreign Nationals/ Kashmiri Migrants categories. The fee is INR 1,500 for SC/ST and persons with disability. Further, below-poverty-line candidates belonging to SC/ST category are exempted from fees.

Is the AILET exam tougher than CLAT?

Yes. Candidates who have prepared for both these exams have stated that the AILET exam is comparably more difficult than the CLAT. Therefore, to secure better marks candidates have to prepare well and have to focus on all the subjects and topics which will be asked in the AILET PG exam.
