What is JEE Main Answer Key?
The JEE Main Answer Key is a document released by the National Testing Agency to help the candidates in evaluating their JEE Mains answers before the results are announced. This gives the candidates an idea about their potential scores however, the final scores may be entirely different from the provisional scores released by the authorities.
The Answer key is supposed to have all the correct answers to the questions attempted in the JEE Mains Examination. A few days after the examination a provisional answer key is released by the authorities, and the candidates can evaluate the answers using the question paper. If a discrepancy is found in any of the answers the candidates can challenge the answer key with the correct answers along with proofs.
If found valid the NTA considers the challenge and makes amendments after which a final answer key is released. The final answer key cannot be challenged and is used by the checking authorities to evaluate the answers and allot marks.
