HPU MAT Seat Allotment: Number of Seats
The seat allotment criteria for the HPU MAT exam will be organised by Himachal Pradesh University. Admissions to MBA programs will only be given to those candidates who will crack the HPU MAT exam. The qualified candidates will be allotted seats on an all-India basis. Himachal Pradesh University has allotted a total of 120 seats divided among all the categories. Out of these 120 seats, 60 seats are for the subsidized category and the remaining 60 for the non-subsidized category.

There are a total of 5 supernumerary seats for candidates who belong to different categories, which are
- 1 seat is reserved for Defence Personnel;
- 2 seats are reserved for Single Girl Child; and
- 2 seats are reserved for candidates with Jammu and Kashmir domicile.

HPU MAT Reservation Criteria
Himachal Pradesh University has fixed the reservation criteria for all the categories. The categories included in the reservation criteria are General, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and other categories. Candidates belonging to categories other than the General will have to submit a valid caste certificate issued by the Government of India. What Happens After Final Selection?
Once all the rounds and phases are cleared of HPU MAT 2023, all the selected candidates for subsidized seats will have to deposit a sum of Rs 10,100 per annum while the non-subsidized category will have to pay a sum of Rs 1,00,000 per annum along with other charges.
Apart from this, for all those candidates taking admission for the academic year 2023-2025, the total batch including subsidized and non-subsidized seats will only be 120.
