Hey Avishi Thanks for sharing your question. It is totally understandable that speaking in front of an examiner can be intimidating. However,IELTS Speaking test does not have any such question which could be difficult to address. Here are three things you could do: 1.Get familiar with the types of questions and the pattern of test.Familiarity to the test will reduce the surprise elements for you and you would sound more prepared and confident. 2.Have a timed practice by recording yourself especially for Part 2 i.e the cue card round as you must speak during this round for over one minute. Do not worry the topics asked are pretty general and all you need to do is speak in flow, showing ease and comfort to deliver your content. 3.The most important- practice with a partner or may be an expert as it is all about speaking confidently and that gets assessed when you speak in front of someone. I hope this helps! Do let us know if we can be any further help. All the best for your test prep!馃槉
Hey Zainab Thank you for sharing your question Though I would be keen to know what exactly is the issue you are facing to address your query precisely. However, I must say that the listening test is the most interesting one. You need to cope with the speed of the track and get accurate answers typed or written based on the mode of the test. One of the common issues is coping with reading and listening simultaneously. And sometimes it could be not writing answers in the correct format. To overcome these: 1.Read the instructions carefully. If ignored,it leads to loss of score eventually. 2.Do not spend time in reading everything.Focus on the need of the question so that you can relate to the track and get the correct answers then and there. 3.And remember there is no negative marking,so do not leave any response blank. Please feel free to share if there are any other challenges you may be facing.I'd be happy to help. Hope this helps馃槉 All the best for your test prep!
Hi Meenakshi Thanks for sharing your question. Most of the time when academic writing task one has a diagram,it usually shows a process. Follow the writing format so that it gets a defined structure and thus the process description can be stated only in the body paragraphs where it's details are sought.Define the diagram i.e what it shows followed by a paragraph on the number of stages and any special equipment needed would suffice to start with. The process description can be then continued from the first stage to the final one. Do not skip any stage. This could eventually help you reach the minimum word count. Hope it helps. Practice well and ace the test! All the best for your test prep! 馃槉
