Hey Yeshita!
Getting admission to a South Korean university might not be that big of an issue as universities might be ready to accept your application. However, getting a merit-based scholarship might be, and you’ll need to go for a need-based scholarship. Hence, clearing your backlogs and improving your Class 12th scores before applying would be a good way to go.
However, if you still want to go ahead, you may have to look for programs and universities that accept applications with existing backlogs.
When you start applying for scholarships in South Korea, you will find that the minimum eligibility criteria for most merit-based scholarships are 80% marks in Class 12th or an excellent academic record. Hence, we advise you to improve your scores in Class 12th examinations and then go ahead planning your higher education abroad.
For more information, read our blog on Do backlogs affect my study abroad plan?
To assist you further, we’ll need a bit more information to guide you regarding the choice of course in Class 12th.
We would suggest that you book a free 30-minute counselling session with our expert by calling 1800-572-000. They’ll do a detailed profile evaluation and provide you with the best possible guidance.

I have taken physics, chemistry, mathematics, English and physical education subjects on the CBSE board. I failed in 3 subjects Physics, chemistry and mathematics. And I have to give an exam next year. Shall I change my subject or continue with it because I got fewer marks in science subject in class 10th? Also this year I clear practical and jee main in 1st attempt. And after the 12th I will be doing easy subjects but I don't know which one shall I take.
