Are these programmes/courses recognized in Hong Kong or by the Hong Kong Government/individual employers?

Accepted Answer

All the Degree programmes offered by CityU have been accredited by HKCAAVQ to reach HKQF Level 5, which makes them equivalent to the standing of bachelor’s degrees offered by the Hong Kong Government for employment purposes within the Civil Service. It is indiscretion for individual employers to recognize the qualification of the program.

Question 2

How much is the application fee? How should I pay the fee?

Accepted Answer

The application fee for foreign applicants applying to CityU is HK$ 450. Each applicant can submit one application only with three programme choices. The application fee can be paid with a credit card - Visa, MasterCard or UnionPay through the University’s application system. The application fee is non-refundable, non-transferable and must be paid for the application to be processed.

Question 3

Will CityU SCOPE sponsor student visa applications for international applicants?

Accepted Answer

No, CityU SCOPE will not sponsor student visa applications. It is the individual responsibility of the students to comply with the immigration rules, regulations and conditions governing their eligibility for higher education and stay in Hong Kong.

Question 4

Can I submit a late application?

Accepted Answer

Applicants are advised to submit their applications well before the application deadlines. However, late applications may be accepted with the sole discretion of the relevant programme admission panels.

When will the application result be announced?

Accepted Answer

Applicants accepted to a programme at CityU will receive individual notification by post/e-mail right after the selection process. Unsuccessful applicants and applicants being placed on the waiting list will also be notified via post/e-mail before the commencement of the programme.
