Arkansas State University was established as the First District Agricultural Institution in Jonesboro, USA in 1909 as a regional agricultural training school. Missionary Baptist minister Robert W. Glover, who served in both chambers of the Arkansas Legislature, sponsored a resolution in 1909 advocating for four state agricultural institutions. The college was raised to university status and given the name Arkansas State University by the Arkansas Legislature in 1967. Since 2009, the Arkansas State Honors College has expanded by 59%. The US News & World Report - National University Ranking has ranked Arkansas State University (ASU) at #298 for 2021, a few notches lower than its earlier ranking of 293 in the previous year, 2020.   • Many US colleges need approval from the International Student Office before taking any on-campus job, and such employment may not be permitted during a student's first semester or year.

Types of Part-Time Jobs in the USA
