Study Abroad: IELTS One Skill Retake is Also Available for Test Takers in India

If you want to study abroad, work abroad, or settle abroad, then you must be following the developments around IELTS. The big news for candidates who have chosen IELTS as their English proficiency test in 2023 was that they can now retake IELTS in single modules with One Skill Retake.   

However, there is a lot of confusion about where the one-skill retake option is available, and where it is applicable. If you are an Indian, then the answer is yes! IELTS One Skill Retake is also available in India. This means, there are certain test centres in India, that offer the option to retake a single module of IELTS. Amazed? There’s more!

Welcome The IELTS One Skill Retake to India

This test form will be available in IELTS Computer Delivered test centres in India. Furthermore, it is only available to test takers who have opted for a Computer Delivered test. The scores generated after the IELTS one-skill retake are printed on a separate scorecard along with the previous scores of other skills. Candidates can choose to send either of the scorecards.

These scores are currently accepted in Australia by the Australian Department of Home Affairs, the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency as well as various Aussie Universities. Another doubt to clear is that this option is now available for both IELTS General and IELTS Academic in India. This test is currently available at 47 IELTS computer centres in India.
