Study Abroad: Clark University Presidential Scholarship Open for UG students

Clark University is offering Presidental Scholarships for international students. The scholarships are granted to undergraduate students with exceptional academic performance and leadership potential. However, the student has to be among the top applicants. Moreover, only 5 scholarships are available.

The Presidential scholarship would cover the entire tuition fees, and on-campus room and board expenses for a period of 4 years. These benefits are available irrespective of the financial status of the beneficiaries. Unlike other scholarships, the presidential scholarship requires a separate application. The 1st deadline for submitting the scholarship essay is Ist February 2024.  Notification regarding the scholarship status is expected to be released by March.

The eligibility criteria for the presidential scholarship are as follows:

• Must have excellent academic record and leadership skills
• Additionally, the student must be at the top of the university’s applicant pool

Presidential Scholarship Application Process

The Presidential scholarship application process is as follows:

• The applicant must check the box ‘Presidential Scholarship’ while filling out the common application form. The applications will be open after August 1st,2023.
• Next, detailed information regarding the scholarship including the topic for the 2 scholarship essays is provided to the applicant. 
• The applicant can fill out the scholarship application on the basis of the information provided before the deadline
• The deadline for submission of the scholarship essay is 1st February for early application and decision.
• Lastly, in the month of March, the selected students are notified of the scholarship status. 
• The shortlisted applicants are eligible to take an interview. The admission committee will announce the final decision based on the interview.

Last year, the Admissions Committee reviewed a total of 450  national and international scholarship applications. The interview panel called 15 applicants for the interview and selected only 5. Typically, they award the scholarship to one or two international students each year.

The Presidential Scholarship selection is based on the on strength of the scholarship application and other criteria set by the admissions committee.
