The University of Kent has a tradition of welcoming international students. Therefore, the university has launched several scholarships to international students for the Jan intake. The scholarships are mainly granted as tuition fees to the selected beneficiaries. Some of these scholarships require applications and others do not. Global Future Student Award
The Global Future Student Award is available for postgraduate students from India, Bangladesh, Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, and Turkey. However, to be eligible for the scholarship students must have received an offer letter from the university before 10 December (those with a pre-CAS interview- January 3). The benefit is an amount of £5000 for programs with a premium fee of £21,900 and £2000 for all other postgraduate courses. Moreover, no separate application is necessary.
Kent Law School LLM Global Welcome Scholarship (Canterbury)
The Kent Law School LLM Global Welcome Scholarship is available to the citizens of a country receiving ODA funding from the OECD—for example, India. To be eligible for the scholarship, the applicant must have a valid passport, be categorized as an overseas fee-paying student, have applied for LLM at the Canterbury Campus, and must have received an offer letter for the same. The scholarship benefit is a tuition fee discount of £2,500. The scholarship application deadline is 31 December 2023.
Alumni Excellence Scholarship – Law (Canterbury), January entry
The Alumni Excellence Scholarship is available to students who have completed a BA degree at the university. The award amount depends on two factors- academic achievement and the tuition fee status. Overseas students with a first-class honors degree can receive a scholarship of up to £4,500. Similarly, students who have secured a second-class degree can receive a scholarship of £3,000. The deadline for the scholarship application is 31 December 2023.
