Describe An Enjoyable Journey By Public Transport: Brainstorming Ideas.

Q. Describe An Enjoyable Journey By Public Transport. You should say:

Ans. Last December, I visited Shimla in Himachal Pradesh. It was the perfect time to go, as the weather was cool, making it an ideal winter getaway. I took the famous toy train from Kalka to Shimla, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its scenic beauty.

The toy train, known as the Kalka-Shimla Railway, is a narrow gauge train that travels through beautiful mountains and offers stunning Himalayan views. The journey started early in the morning from Kalka, and I managed to get a seat by the window which made everything much more delightful. As the train went on, I could feel the excitement building up. The landscape gradually changed from the plains of Kalka to the lush green hills of Himachal Pradesh. I came across dense forests of pine and oak, small villages and terraced gardens. The view was breathtaking, and I spent most of my journey gazing out of the window and getting lost in the beauty of nature. The train wasn’t very crowded, which made the journey more comfortable for me.

I had brought some snacks and a thermos of hot tea which I enjoyed while watching the scenery around. The slow pace of the train allowed me to fully take in the beauty. The gentle movement of the train and the rhythmic sound of the wheels on the tracks were quite soothing, making everything aesthetically pleasing. The highlight of the trip was the numerous tunnels and bridges we passed through. There are over 100 tunnels and several impressive bridges along the route, each offering a unique and picturesque view.  Upon my arrival in Shimla, the train station was bustling with activity, but everything was well-organised, making it easy for me to navigate my way.

Overall, that trip was enjoyable and stress-free. Travelling by the toy train allowed me to appreciate the beauty of the Himalayas in a relaxed manner. It was a refreshing break from the usual routine and reminded me of the joys of travelling by public transport.
