I wish we could meet in person, but due to your exams, it is not possible. I am so excited to tell you all about it that I am writing this letter to you. We left for the trip in the early morning of the previous Sunday and after Chandigarh, the mountains could be easily spotted. We reached Shimla by evening and after checking into a hotel, we rested for 2 hours. After that, we had dinner in the hotel and went to bed. The next morning was majestic. We woke up in our hotel with a beautiful view of the mountains from our balcony. We got ready to explore Shimla and left for the Mall Road. The ridge of Shimla is beautiful. It is located amidst the mountains adding to its vibrance. On the Mall Road, we had our breakfast. After that, Mom and I shopped quite a lot. We have also brought something for you. On the ridge, we took many pictures. The famous “Jakhu Temple” is also visible from the ridge. After exploring the Mall Road, we headed for the Jakhu Temple. It was great. The Hanuman statue there is so tall that I had to get to a good distance to capture it in one pic. There were many monkeys there so we had to take care of our belongings. In the subsequent days, we did local sightseeing and went to Chail as well. It was a great trip. At each destination, I have taken a lot of pictures that I will show you when you come to meet me. Hope to see you soon. Till then take care and give my regards uncle and aunty. Your loving friend Shlok. |
