C-56 2nd Floor New Plaza Preet Vihar Delhi-110051 26th October 2024 Dear Dipika, I hope that you are well and your family is good too. I am good here. Finally, it is the season of festivals. And Dussehra is nearing. I love this festival because it depicts that no matter what, good always prevails over evil. My family celebrates this festival wholeheartedly with the proper spirit of good and Sri Ram. A day before Dussehra, I along with my father, go to the Ramleela grounds and admire the huge effigies of Ravana, Kumbhkaran and Meghnadh. I have always admired the work and art that goes into making them. On the day of Dussehra, my family does a pooja and then, my mother makes my favourite dishes. We all then sit together in front of the TV watching the live telecast of the Ramleela and soon after that, we watch the much-awaited moment, the burning of the effigies while having our dinner. I love this festival and what it stands for. I wish that you were here so that we could enjoy it together. I haven’t met you in a long time, so, when you can find time, call me and we will plan an outing together. Till then, take care and a very happy Dussehra to you and your family. Your dear friend, Aditi. |
