PU UG Law Merit List Dates 2023
The Punjab University will release the merit lists for BA LLB (Hons) and BCom LLB (Hons) separately. Before that, the results are declared on the official website of the university. The university is in charge of releasing the provisional merit list which will include the candidate’s name, admit card number, total marks obtained and the candidate’s rank.
The candidates will be shortlisted for a final counselling and seat allotment session based on their rank. The merit list dates have not been released by the university. The students can easily download the merit list from the official website of the university after the release of the results.
How is the Merit List Prepared for PU UG Law 2023?
The merit list is a calculator by the university itself. For each course, a separate merit list is prepared. Students can refer below to know how the merit list for BA LLB and BCom LLB is prepared:
- For BA LLB, the merit list is calculated by adding around 50% weightage to the PU UG Law exam score and the remaining 50% is added to the qualifying exam score.
- For BCom LLB, the merit list is calculated by adding 50% weightage to the PU UG Law exam score and the remaining 50% is determined by the total marks that the student has received in their qualifying exam.
- If there are many students who fall under the final merit list, they will be determined based on their 10+2 examination marks. The student who has received more marks will be placed higher.
How to Download the Merit List of PU UG Law?
Candidates should know that the merit list will be released on the university website and students can download the PDF for their reference. To view the merit list, students must follow the steps mentioned below:
- The students must visit the official website of the university.
- Students are required to go to the notification section and click on the course that they have given the exam. Once they click on the link, students will be able to download the PDF format of their merit list.
- It is advised to print the merit list for future reference.
After the merit list has been released, shortlisted candidates are called in for the counselling session. The students who are shortlisted for the counselling session through the merit list should complete all the registration formalities that are required for the counselling session.

Importance of PU UG Law Merit List
Students who will appear for the exam must download the merit list after the conduction of the exam.
