MAT 2024 IBT Mode: All India Management Association (AIMA) has initiated the registration process for the February phase. The conducting body had recently declared the dates for the MAT 2024 IBT mode Exam Dates for getting admission to MBA or PGDM courses.

Candidates interested in taking the exam can now fill out the application form for IBT and CBT till 5 March via the AIMA website. With only two phases of IBT and CBT exams left, they will be held on 3 March, 8 March and 10 March, respectively. The application fee for all the modes is INR 2,100, which is to be at the time of form submission.

If you want to take the exam in more than one mode, then you will have to fill out multiple application forms accordingly. The MAT 2024 exam pattern and syllabus will be the same for IBT, CBT, and PBT modes. How is MAT 2024 IBT Mode conducted?

  • The candidates will take the exam online sitting at their place.
  • Candidates can start the test by logging in using their credentials and verifying themselves first. In this mode of testing, the candidates will be inspected remotely using AI (artificial intelligence) tools.
  • It is different from the other modes where the candidates are inspected in the test room under a strict environment. In MAT IBT Mode, the supervision will be held online to avoid cheating.
  • If the candidates were found showing any of the wrong behavioural norms would be first warned and if they repeated, they may be disqualified.
  • The details on the exam will soon be released by AIMA on their official website. The candidates must visit the website regularly for current updates.

Candidates taking the MAT IBT 2024 exam need to fulfil the specifications related to the system, network, and internet. However, it will not be difficult for candidates who have an internet connection in their homes.

Follow These Steps for Taking the MAT 2024 IBT Test

Here is the complete guide for the candidates to understand the procedure behind taking the MAT 2024 IBT Mode Test. It is advised that candidates must follow these steps for taking the MAT exam 2024 without creating any mess.

Step 1: Test Launch

 To start the test candidates need to reach the MAT official website 

 Then they have to search for the Launch button to start the test

 The test will begin in a separate window

 Based on the installation of MSB in the system, a redirected screen will open

Step 2: Download MSB

In case the system is not installed with MSB candidates have to download it.

If already installed students can proceed to take the test

There is no need to download MSB from any outside source, the option to download will be available on the screen along with the test.

Step 3: MSB Installation Steps

A screen will appear stating an agreement for End User License Terms

Candidates have to agree to the terms and conditions and click on the Install option

Once MSB is downloaded,  candidates can open the file to install.

Once the installation is complete, the MSB browser icon will appear on the screen.

Step 4: Begin Test on MSB

Then  candidates can click on launch test on the MSB browser

A popup dialogue window will open stating the MSB-click on the ok option

Again a screen will appear asking you to close the unrequired application on your computer

Applications like  Skype and web browsers are not required by candidates and they can proceed to the ok button after closing applications.

MSB will ask candidates to share the microphone and camera permission to be granted to proceed with the test.

Details such as valid email address, name, date of birth, contact number, and country are to be filled

Step 5: Submission of Snapshot

Candidates are required to provide a snapshot of their face and identity proof.

Step 1 involves face snapshots whereas

Step 2 involves ID snapshots.

Candidates must ensure while taking a snapshot the room is lighted up enough to avoid blur or darkness.

They must review the picture before submitting the snapshot

Step 6: Authorization

The authorization process will take place only after the submission of snapshots and this can take about 2-3 minutes.

In case the snapshots are not clear, candidates have to submit the images again.

Step 7: MAT 2024 IBT Begins

Candidates will be informed that their test will be monitored, and they have to approve to proceed with the test.

An image will be displayed defining the use of every tab on the screen and Once the test is completed candidates have to click on the Finish Test option.

Important Tips for Appearing in the MAT 2024 IBT Test

  • Candidates do not have to be a computer expert. 
  • Candidates must not be in a hurry have patience let the page boot, and then start answering the questions.
  • Avoid excessive clicking that can make computer processes slow.
  • To make candidates familiar with the internet-based test process can take an online test series in the same format released by AIMA will be helpful in this.
  • Always click on save while marking options, in case the system does not save your answers automatically.
  • Technical glitch usually happens, do not panic in this case, and wait for the system to cope.
