The University of St. Gallen is commonly known as HSG and derives this name from its former name Handels-Hochschule St Gallen. It is a research university that is situated in St. Gallen Switzerland. It was established in the year 1898 and has 5 Bachelor and 15 Master Programs relating to the fields of Management, Law, Economics, and International Affairs. St. Gallen was a pioneer in the Bologna Process which ensures comparable standards and quality of education across Europe. This university is highly ranked across various international rankings making it as one the leading institutes in programs of Management. It was ranked at 69th in FT 2019 Global MBA rankings, 9th in 2018 FT Master in Management {CEMS Program}, 6th in 2018 FT Masters in Finance, and 55th in 2018 FT Executive MBA. It is also a member of CEMS which is a cooperation of major global institutes with multinationals and NGOs. The university has five on-campus schools catering to different study domains. The Univerity is home to many international students but the government of Switzerland has fixed an upper limit of 25% on the total representation of international students in the student strength. The university has over 80 active student clubs which include International Students' Committee which is responsible for the planning and organization of the annual St. Gallen Symposium.
