The Shorter University was established in the year 1873 in the Rome locality of Georgia State of the United States of America. It was a Pioneer in private higher education and had set the ball rolling for many other private institutions in the country. The Shorter University is spread over 150 acres of land. It has been designed to allocate parts of land for Educational Services as well as extracurricular activities equally. Endowment of around $40 million is expected for the Shorter University. This is a huge amount for any private university and was granted after a lot of work done in the educational services by the university. A remarkable 14:1 student to teacher ratio has been maintained by the Shorter University.
