Princeton University was established in the 17th century. Today, it's considered as the 4th oldest university of Higher Education in the U.S. The origin of the university dates back to the College of New Jersy which was established in 1855. However, later on, in 1896, it became Princeton University. Newlight Presbyterians formed the university because of the training of ministers. The university completely changed positively when its Woodrow Wilson became its 13th President. He introduced a method of teaching where the teachers gave lectures to a small group of students. The university has two campuses: South Brunswick and Plainsboro. These two campuses are classified as one of the most stunning places in New York. The buildings of the university are built on the foundation of the Roman and Victorian Gothic style. After few years, the university renovated in Collegiate Gothic style. Both campuses of the university are close to medical stores, gyms, restaurants, and shops where all the basic necessities exist. Apart from this, the university gives an opportunity to choose from a wide range of subjects. At present, Princeton University offers subjects like Natural Sciences, Doctoral, History, Business, Psychology, Social Sciences, and Engineering. From 2015 to 2019, the university remained as one of the best universities in the nation for undergraduate students. Moreover, the university has 42 doctoral departments & programs and 37 academic departments. The student to faculty ratio is 5:1, which is quite satisfactory. Such proportion has always helped the university in generating creative, innovative, and collaborative students.
