Northeast Normal University (NENU) is a public comprehensive university situated in Northeast China. It was founded by the Communist Party in 1946 and was established in Changchun in 1949. NENU considers education, teaching and scientific research as its foundation. The university comprises of two campuses namely, Ziyou and Jingyue. These campuses offer a wide range of majors in History, Education, Biology, Chemistry, Material Science, Engineering, amongst others. In addition to this, the university offers 78 undergraduate specialities, 17 professional master programs in M.A., 38 first-level master programs, and 22 first-level doctorate programs. It has 23 schools, 28,024 full-time students, 794 international students, 497 professors, and 616 associate professors. NENU is an open running school that has established cooperation and exchange relations with over 297 countries and research institutions from 30 countries. NENU has provided excellent training to middle school teachers over the years and is widely known as the cradle of teachers. The architecture in the main campus of NENU is classical as well as elegant. The campuses are equipped with the state-of-the-art facilities including, museums, gymnasiums, residence halls, libraries, amongst others.
