History and Affiliations

The Methodist Council of Education has been in charge of the Methodist College Kuala Lumpur (MCKL) since its founding in 1983. The location of the campus is ideal, right in the centre of Kuala Lumpur. MCKL's guiding ideology is centred on providing exceptional and quality education, which supports the school's aim as a social institution. The university is platinum approved learning partner of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). 

Infrastructure, Campuses and Courses

Methodist College is located in Kuala Lumpur's Brickfields neighbourhood. KL Sentral Station, a significant transportation hub that connects many buses and trains, is within walking distance. A monorail station is located right next to the campus, making it handy for students to go around and to KL City Centre. There are numerous services and conveniences in the area, including coffee shops, restaurants, banks, and shopping malls. MCKL has been serving students from all walks of life with a holistic education. Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) has internationally recognised and validated MCKL famous professional pre-university and tertiary programmes. Its pre-university programs include A-Levels and AUSMAT, undergraduate programmes such as Diploma in Social Work, Diploma in Computer Science, Diploma in E-Commerce, Diploma in Information Technology among others. The college also provides professional accounting, professional development and preparatory courses as well. 

Accomplishments and Alumni

Students at MCKL have consistently excelled in pre-university courses such as AUSMAT and A-Level over the years. MCKL's A-Level students received a perfect score of 100% in June 2018. The Ministry of Education has also given it a 'Tier 5 (Excellent)' rating (MyQuest 2016/2017). The Special Certificate of Distinction and the Special Course and Subject Award for several AUSMAT subjects are among the numerous honours that students have received. John Hewitt (Writer),  Paul Henry (Irish Artist), and Barry Douglas (Concert Pianist) are a few of the notable people associated with the college.
