Established in 1952, East China University of Science and Technology is a research-based institution situated in Shanghai, China. The university initially commenced with its focus on programs in the field of Chemical Technology and later started offering various disciplines and majors in the field of Science and Technology. The university is a Double First-Class Discipline University affiliated by the Chinese Ministry of Education. It is home to two campuses spread across the Fengxian, Xuhui and Jinshan. The main campus of East China University of Science and Technology is located in Xuhui, around a region of 415,000 sq.m and houses 21 dormitories. East China University of Science and Technology offers more than 13 first level and 81 doctoral courses of second level, 25 first level and 147 masters program of second level and 65 undergraduate courses. The university is home to over 24,140 full-time students out of which 15,000 are undergraduates, 7,110 are postgraduates and 1,570 are PhD scholars.
