History, Affiliations, and Rankings
Concordia University is a liberal arts university established in 1893 as an affiliation of the nine-member Concordia University System and is operated by the Lutheran Church–Missouri Synod (LCMS). The University is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) since 1959, with a reaffirmation of accreditation in 2018. The Council for Higher Education Administration (CHEA) also has Concordia University as a member.
Infrastructure, Campuses, and Courses
The institution provides exceptional academic opportunities to students across the globe by offering 76 majors and 48 minors under undergraduate courses, 25 graduate programs, adult undergraduate degree programs, continuing education certificates and licensure and colloquy programs. Moreover, 48 programs are delivered as an online degree through the school’s online campus. The most popular majors at the university are Business Administration and Management, Kinesiology and Exercise Science, Psychology, Criminal Biological Sciences and Nursing Practice. With a campus size of 37 acres, the university has a lush green urban setting that compliments the atmosphere of healthy learning. Around 19% of the students live in college-owned housing while 81% of students live off-campus. The university mascot is “Golden Bears” and is a part of NCAA II. Various sports activities at CSP include baseball, basketball, cheerleading, golf, lacrosse, soccer, track and field, softball and volleyball. CU aims to prepare thoughtful and informed individuals dedicated to the service of God.
Accomplishments and Alumni
Concordia University has over 28,000 alumni around the world. The network is extensive and each graduate from the University gets a free membership into the network. Notable names such as actress and model Raina Hein, senator Justin D. Eichorn and famous basketball player Nuni Omot are a part o the network as well.

Concordia University has a Diversity centre that provides a vision for enhancing the diversity of the university. They promote diversity efforts through creative programming, effective consultation, and continuous collaboration with students, administrators, faculty and staff. 44% of the students at Concordia are from multicultural backgrounds.
