This national university is recognized after Petro Mohyla, which is situated in Ukraine. Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University is considered to be the youngest university in Ukraine. It obtained the national university title in 1996. Currently, the university is retaining its 44th rank among the top 100 universities in Ukraine. Sir L.P, Klimenko, is the former rector of the university. The Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University offers various graduate and postgraduate courses in eleven main disciplines which include- Medical, Philosophy, Computer Science, Political Science, Sociology, Physical Education and Sports, Research Programs, Economics, Public Administration, History, Law and many other disciplines.The university is best known for its medical courses.
Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University is accredited by the Ministry of Education of Ukraine. The main campus of the university is in Ukraine, which comprises of twelve main buildings. It has fourteen well-furnished computer labs and research centers to provide the best services to its students. The Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University also comprises of three main dormitories for international students as well as for the poor students. The best part of Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University is that it has its own publishing house where not only several research papers are published but students can also publish original artwork and poetry.
The postgraduate students get specialized training in more than twelve disciplines to gain hands-on practice on theoretical subjects. Petro Mohyla Black Sea National University is also associated with various foreign universities to enable diversity by providing international students access to study in the university. Most of the courses in the university are taught in English and Ukraine's native language. Many renowned scientists and famous politicians, as well as foreign diplomats, are invited annually to give lectures for motivating the students. The university also organizes various conferences and visits by ambassadors of France, Bulgaria, Norway, Germany, Switzerland, and Poland.
