There are various reasons why people visit museums whenever they are travelling to a new place, including the desire to gain educational insights, the opportunity to experience local culture and the chance to enjoy unique and rare exhibitions.

Firstly, museums are the hub of educational opportunities. They have an extensive collection of artefacts, artworks and historical documents that offer visitors a deep understanding of a region’s history and development. For example, the Louvre in Paris not only showcases the famous Mona Lisa but also offers a comprehensive view of Western art history. By visiting such museums, travellers get to learn about the cultural evolution and significant historical events that have made it what it is today, which makes their travel much more meaningful and informative. 

Secondly, museums allow visitors to experience the local culture and traditions of a new place.
