The decision to stay back was not entirely hers—it was a compromise, an understanding between a daughter with global aspirations and parents who wished to see their child grow under their guidance before letting her take flight. “Even for my bachelor’s, I wanted to go abroad right after the 12th,” she recalls. “But my parents had some concerns; they wanted their child to stay with them for four to five years. After that, they said, we will send her abroad for her Master’s degree.”

Academic Excellence, Determination, and Unwavering Spirit 

Anjorika’s journey was marked by academic diligence and persistence. Her admission into Delhi University was no small feat—she secured an All-India Rank of #212 in the entrance exam. This milestone set the stage for her future endeavours, providing her mettle as a dedicated student. 

During her undergraduate years, she honed her skills as an occupational therapist to gain invaluable experience. She is currently employed at the Delhi Commonwealth Women’s Association (DCWA) in Kailash Colony, South Delhi, where she works as an occupational therapist.
