Myrtle Beach City Council gives green light for new J1 student housing complex

Myrtle Beach City Council voted for the final reading to approve the request to rezone about eight acres of land for J1 Visa students.

The complex will be a multi-unit dormitory-style residence hall.

The residence will have amenities like laundry service, outdoor recreational fields etc.

J-1 Visa in the United States is meant for international students who want to pursue higher education

Every year, thousands of J-1 Visa Students visit Myrtle Beach to work and earn money.
