PM Modi Gives Permission to Australian Universities to Set Campuses in India by 2023-End
An Australian University, that denied the rumours of placing restrictions on Indian students last month, received approval from the Indian government to set up its campus in GIFT City.
The Univesity of Wollongong received proper official approval so that they can conduct their educational courses in India. This status was confirmed after they had a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Through a university statement, Professor Davidson stated that they are extremely delighted to receive official confirmation as well as proper planning to start their operations within the GIFT City.
Reports stated that more than 2,400 Indian students are currently pursuing their higher education at the UOW, with engineering, business, and information technology being the three most popular degrees.
The university also has plans to introduce Bachelor of Business and Computer Science courses in 2025, as per a University statement.
