In 2000, under the direct administration of the Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China, the Zhongnan University of Finance and Economics and the Zhongnan Institute of Politics and Law came together as one to form Zhongnan University of Economics and Law. The university offers a wide range of degree programs across several disciplines including economics, law, and management, philosophy, literature, history, science, engineering, art and other additional disciplines. ZU offers 56 undergraduate programs, 15 first-level master programs, 89 secondary master programs, 6 first-level doctoral programs, 53 secondary doctoral programs and 6 post-doctoral programs. ZU has academic partnerships and collaborations with more than 100 colleges and scientific and research institutions with over 20 countries across the world. The campus is spread over 187 hectares and with a floor space of 1100000sq metres, the university offers a state of the art infrastructure to its students.
