Yale University is one of the most popular universities worldwide for offering higher education. It is a leading private university located in the USA that was established in 1701. Yale was established as a collegiate school near Saybrook, Connecticut and the collegiate school was renamed Yale College. In 1861, Yale became the first university in America to award Doctor of Philosophy degrees. It is ranked among the top universities in the USA to provide higher education. Infrastructure, Campuses and Courses

It is known to be one of the largest higher education institutes offering bachelor's, master's and doctoral degrees in a wide variety of disciplines. Yale offers admission based on a selective policy which is based on entrance exams conducted by the university and also takes into account previous academic records. In addition to its degree programmes, it also offers a number of exchange programmes, online courses and distance learning opportunities. The University has fourteen schools including the undergraduate liberal arts college, the Graduate school of Arts and Sciences and twelve professional schools. Accomplishments and Alumni

In 1836, Yale Literary magazine was founded, which is known to be the oldest literary review in the country. In 1861, Yale became the first university in America to award Doctor of Philosophy degrees. The University currently has fourteen constituent schools. It also has a list of distinguished alumni members. Some of the notable alumni include - Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, Prince Rostislav Romanov and Prince Akiiki Hosea Nyabongo.
