History, Affiliations and Rankings

The University of Stirling was established through a royal charter in the middle of the 19th century. It was established as a public education institution in Stirling, Scotland to provide "education with a purpose" to individuals skilled in navigating change in the British society. Since its inception, the university has today grown to educate over 17,000 students and incorporates 5 faculties, of Arts & Humanities, Natural Sciences, Health Sciences & Sport, and Social Sciences and the Stirling Management School. It holds accreditation from the Association of MBAs (AMBA). Additionally, it is affiliated with the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU). According to QS World University Rankings 2023, the University of Stirling ranks in the bracket #501-510, while the Times Higher Education World University Rankings place the University in the bracket #301-350

Infrastructure, Campuses and Courses

The university incorporates a Dementia centre and Innovation Park. There are two Scottish campuses within the university: Stornoway and Inverness. Stirling University is partnering up with a number of foreign universities as well. At present, the university has partnerships with Hebei Normal University, Singapore Institute of Management, and several Vietnamese universities. The university provides full flexibility to its students. If any student feels that his or her student is not suitable, then it is acceptable to change the subjects here. The university keeps a check on the interest and motivation of the students. It provides professional teachers, lecturers, and a chance to give feedback. This helps students improve their learning process. Many scholarships are available for those students who are not able to support themselves financially. 90% of the undergraduates are either employed or studying further. All first-year international students are guaranteed to get on-campus accommodation. The University of Stirling offers Bachelor's, Master's, Postgraduate Research and Professional programs
