The University of Chester was founded in 1839 and is a public university in Chester, England in the United Kingdom. The University of Chester began as a teacher training college and grew into what is now known as the University of Chester. Prime Minister William Gladstone and the Earl of Derby, as well as a well-known former Archbishop of Canterbury, established it. The university serves as a member of the Cathedrals Group, the Association of Commonwealth Universities, the North West Universities Association, and Universities UK. The school was praised in a 2010 audit by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA) for its noteworthy practises in guaranteeing standards and improving the quality of learning opportunities and supportive relationships. The Business Research Institute (BRI) of the University of Chester was founded in 2014 as a faculty-led research institute. Along with the University's Riverside Innovation Centre, Chester Business School, and Thornton Engineering and Technology Centre, the BRI concentrates its activities on growing and enhancing the University's business research and advanced consultancy capability and capacity. The university employs 1,880 people and has more than 19,850 students from all over the world. Every year, University of Chester graduates find work in a variety of industries at firms and organisations around the United Kingdom. The University of Chester offers a university-based induction programme that is specifically designed to assist students with placement and to assess their skills and abilities. Students are encouraged to participate in placement sessions in order to have a better understanding of the skills and abilities needed to satisfy the needs of businesses.
