The University of Burgundy has a long and illustrious history in France. The beginnings of uB may be traced back to the French monarchy, with King Louis XV of France's initiation of the foundation of the Dijon school of law in 1722. Over 150 years later, in the 1950s, the whole University and its additional faculty relocated to the lovely modern site, which is located just outside the city center. The university is affiliated to the Université Bourgogne - Franche-Comté. The European University Association (EUA) is officially accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation. The University of Burgundy is ranked #855 in Best Global Universities, according to the US News 2022.
