The University of Canada West was established in 2004. Located in downtown Vancouver, UCW is known for its innovation and professional programs that make students career-ready and professionally skilled. UCW is recognized by The Education Quality Assurance (EQA), BC Transfer System (BCCAT), EduCanada, Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE), NCMA, American Marketing Association, Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE) and BC Tech Association for services to higher education in Canada. It is also accredited by ACBSP for its MBA program and Bachelor of Commerce programs, and Languages Canada for University Access Courses. The University of Canada West is regarded as one of Canada's best universities, with a worldwide reputation for business and management courses.
Infrastructure, Campuses and Courses
In downtown Vancouver, University of Canada West has two campuses that are conveniently accessible via transport networks. The spectacular new Vancouver House Campus is located at 1461 Granville St. and the West Pender Campus is housed in the historic London Building at 626 West Pender St. The campus includes more than 90,000 square feet of space in two of the podium buildings in the iconic Vancouver House development. The West Pender Campus currently occupies six floors of The London Building, a heritage office building that dates back to the early part of the 20th century. It is in the heart of Vancouver’s financial district and just steps away from public transit, including the Waterfront SkyTrain Station, bus routes and the SeaBus terminal. The Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Arts in Business Communication, Associate of Arts, and Master of Business Administration are among the career-focused degrees offered by UCW. Courses are available at the downtown Vancouver location as well as online. Offering classes online allows for greater flexibility in education, allowing students who might not otherwise have had the opportunity to get respectable credentials to do so.

The University of Canada West has a student population of 6000+ students, including international students from more than 100 countries. Further, there are 146 staff members supporting the students along with a total of 178 full-time and sessional faculty. The student committee comprises people from all sorts of backgrounds making the academic environment diverse. UCW has a Career Development Centre that offers workshops, one-on-one advice and assistance to students in areas such as Career advising, Reviewing Resumés and Cover Letters, Job Search assistance, Networking Skills, Internship Applications, Mock interviews/Interview Skills, Employment Resources, Career Panel/Events and Career Exploration and Managing online presence.
