Founded in 1889, Universidad Nacional de la Asunción is a public university in Paraguay. It is one of the oldest and traditional universities in the country. The university prides itself for its exceptional work in the fields of research and innovation. The university was established with a mission to deliver ideologies and education with utmost sincerity and transparency. The university comprises of total 14 faculties, namely, Faculty of Law and Social Sciences, Faculty of Medical Sciences, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Dentistry, Faculty of Chemical Sciences, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, Faculty of Philosophy, Faculty of Architecture, Design and Art, Faculty of Veterinary Sciences, Faculty of exact and natural Sciences, Polytechnic Faculty and the Faculty of Social Sciences, the School of Nursing and Obstetrics and the School of Economics. The college offers 81 undergraduate degrees, 2 technical degrees and 234 postgraduate degrees. the university also offers scholarship programs for outstanding students with Paraguayan nationality. The central library on campus is a hub of activity with high tech multimedia projectors, internet access, 40 computers, reading rooms and research areas.
