Universidad de Montevideo is a pioneering university established in 1986 and attained university status in 1997 with a reputation for academic excellence, research and technological innovation and social responsibility. UM offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs within 7 faculties: the School of Engineering, the School of Humanities, the School of Business Administration and Economics, the School of Communications and the School of Law and other Business School (IEEM) and the Center for Biomedical Science.
