One of the top universities of Hong Kong includes the Chinese University of Hong Kong. It is an institute which is research-based and is available to the public for the purpose mentioned above. The university was established in the year 1963 by the Hong Kong legislative council. CHUK is the organiser of the nine colleges constituted and has eight academic facilities included. The university adopts a strategy having an academic inquiry, involving, biomedical sciences, Chinese studies, economics and finance, geo information, earth science and information studies having an emphasis on Chinese and English linguistics as the mode of education. The university is also the centre of education for teaching languages including, Putonghua and Cantonese to the university learners, including both native and non-native learners. The university is of unique significance comprising of the university library system that consists of seven different libraries and various collections. It is ranked as the seventh in times Asia and eight as per the QS Asia and is amongst the members of the top three learning institutions in the territory.
CHUK has the largest campus area, hosting a range of facilities, that includes libraries, tennis courts, squash courts, and gymnasiums, which enabled increasing the scenic beauty of the area.
