In the Scottish city of Aberdeen, Robert Gordon University is a cutting-edge institution of higher learning. It was established as a school in the middle of the eighteenth century, despite receiving university status in 1992. As "The Professional University," Robert Gordon places a heavy emphasis on vocational degrees. Located in Scotland, UK, the university’s teaching excellence can be very well demonstrated through its GOLD accreditation from the UK Teaching Excellence Framework. The university is accredited by the European University Association (EUA). It is ranked #801-1000 in QS World Rankings 2022 and placed between #1001-1200 rank as per THE Rankings  2022. 

Infrastructure, Campuses and Courses

The Garthdee Campus is located in the city's southwest corner, in a delightfully big parkland near the River Dee. This campus houses all of the university's academic departments. The campus, which is known for its contemporary architecture, is home to teaching and research operations. There are 11 schools at the university. Each school is overseen by a principal and separated into educational departments. Along with offering more than 300 UG and PG courses, the university offers a variety of degrees ranging from BSc through PhD levels in a variety of subjects, including technology, arts, health care, and business. Aside from that, the university uses its virtual learning skills to provide distance learning services. Furthermore, university staff members assist students in producing great research work.

Accomplishments and Alumni 

Recently, in the year 2021, the institution grabbed the Scottish University of the Year title in The Times & Sunday Times Good University Guide. RGU also constitutes an ideal destination for those eager to try their hands-on research in fields like sustainable transport, built environment visualization, industrial biotechnology, smart data and artificial intelligence, and pharmacy practice. It also has a large alumni network around the country. Some of the prominent alumni include Hannah Miller (Scottish Swimmer), Maxwell Hutchinson (English Architect), Ola Gorie (Jewelry Designer), Paul Lawrie (Scottish Golfer), etc.
