Monroe College is a private, for-profit graduate school in New York City established in 1933 as Monroe School of Business which was later renamed Monroe Business Institute in 1963 and then became Monroe College in 1990. It has campuses in New Rochelle, Bronx, Caribbean island of Saint Lucia and extension site in Manhattan. The college offers undergraduate courses in 8 fields: Business and Accounting, Allied Health, Criminal Justice, Hospitality Management, Culinary, Nursing, Informational Technology and Education and master’s degree programs at King Graduate School in Computer Science, Public Health, Accounting, Business Administration, Hospitality Management and Criminal Justice. The school renders ample student support services and provide passionate academic faculties. The campuses provide several training facilities like the School of Nursing’s Human Patient Simulation Center, moot court, simulated pharmacy etc. Athletic teams at Monroe College are known as ‘Mustangs’ involved in intramural sports like soccer, cross country, basketball, football and track and field. There are various social, cultural and entertainment events managed by over 700 student members in over 50 clubs for students to support a strong mix of extracurricular happenings.
