Lund University is located in the city of Lund in the Swedish province of Scania (Sweden). The institution was founded in 1666, making it one of the world's oldest universities with a 353-year existence. It is consistently ranked among the world's top 100 institutions. The university is affiliated with Universitas 21, the League of European Research Universities, the European University Association, and the Association of Southeast Asian Institutions of Higher Learning. According to QS World University Rankings 2022, the university is ranked #87 in the world whereas the university is placed at #116 as per THE World University Rankings 2022. In addition, as per U.S. News Best Global Universities, the university is ranked #95 across the globe.

Lund University is divided into 9 faculties, with additional campuses in Malmö and Helsingborg. It features a number of faculties spread out across several campuses. It has about 40,000 students and draws students from more than 150 different nations. International students are housed and accommodated by the university. It also provides financial aid to some of its students through a variety of scholarships. The institution offers 9 bachelor's degree programs and more than 100 master's degree programs. Accomplishments and Alumni 

The university is well-known for its outstanding research capabilities. Four Nobel Laureates, a Fields Medal winner, Prime Ministers, a slew of corporate executives, and an Associate Justice of the United States Supreme Court are among the university's alumni. Nobel Laureates have graduated from the university, including Manne Siegbahn, who won the Nobel Prize in physics in 1924; Bertil Ohlin, who won the Nobel Prize in Economics in 1977; Sunne Bergstrom, who won the Nobel Prize in Medicine in 1982; Sweden's prime ministers, Arvid Posse and Ingvar Carlsson, both attended this university. Many writers, politicians, surgeons, lawyers, mathematicians, physicists, and other professionals have evolved and improved their skills at the university.

Lund University places a significant focus on student employability, and its programmes and courses are developed in collaboration with local and international businesses and organisations. Lund is part of the Malmö region, the world's fourth most innovative region, and contains a diverse range of knowledge-intensive businesses.
