History, Affiliations and Rankings

Established in 1966, Leeds Trinity University is a public institute. In 1980, Trinity College for women and All Saints College for men merged to form  Trinity and All Saints College. In 2012, it achieved university status. The Leeds Trinity University has academic affiliations with Cathedrals Group and ACCU. Professor Margaret House OBE was appointed Vice-Chancellor in July 2012, and Gabby Logan, a Leeds native, was named Chancellor in 2013. More money was invested in the University, including the construction of All Saints' Court Halls of Residence in 2010 and Fountains Court in 2016, a new 3G Astroturf pitch, new Students' Union offices, the establishment of Leeds Children's University, and the formation of new international partnerships around the world. There was more research incentive, more Professors were hired, and research money increased.As per The Guardian - University Rankings, the university is placed at 117 in the year 2022 and 115 in the year 2021. 

Infrastructure, Campuses and Courses

The Leeds Trinity University main campus is near Rawdon. It is situated at Horsforth, off Brownberrie Lane. The Leeds Trinity campus currently has 8 Halls of Residence. The All Saints Court students' residence is the most notable. With £6 million, 198 bedrooms with self-catering and ensuite facilities were built. This opened in September of 2010. The Andrew Kean Learning Center is located at the Leeds Trinity Library on campus.The Andrew Kean Learning Center at the campus in the Leeds Trinity Library. This Learning Center has about 115,000 volumes, and 500,000 ebooks equipped with classroom resources. All library services are accessible 24x7. The campus also hosts a sports science laboratory and a nutrition and food preparation laboratory. They also offer services for sports psychology practicals, fitness testing, and practical research with food and dietary analysis. Foundation and top-up programs include subjects - Supporting Children and Families in Social Contexts and Supporting Learning and Additional Needs. Courses at Leeds Trinity University include Mass Communication and media, accounting and commerce, medicine and health sciences, science, humanities and social sciences, and business and management studies.

Accomplishments and Alumni 

Leeds Trinity has been awarded the BBC North Education Partnership Achievement award,  in the recognition of its 'inspirational' journalism education, and Leeds Trinity has also been awarded the Partnership's Journalism award in consecutive years. Leeds Trinity works closely with the BBC to give its students access to a broad range of placements, challenges, workshops and other opportunities at MediaCity in Salford and at BBC Yorkshire in Leeds. Student Diversity and Visiting Companies

Leeds Trinity University values diversity in all its dimensions. The University has more than 4,900 student enrolments out of which 4,220 are undergraduates, and about 700 are postgraduates. They have about 1% of international students on campus. The male-to-female ratio is 39:61 at Leeds Trinity University. The aim then - and now - was to focus on opportunities for young people from lower-income households, to provide a great educational experience in a diverse community, and to actively support social justice.
