Kazakh National Agrarian University (KazNAU) was established in 1929 as a public research university in Kazakhstan. It was started with a mission to integrate science and industry, create conditions for intellectual property, and train qualified teaching staff. The university partners with foreign universities of Belgium, Germany, Indonesia, Greece, Spain, China, and others. It also engages in joint programs and conferences. KazNAU has played a major role in the development of science and industry in all sectors of agriculture and overall agricultural development in Kazakhstan. The university comprises of various faculties such as Agrobiology, Veterinary Science, Faculty of Trilingual Education, and others. It offers 41 undergraduate programs, 39 master’s programs, and 16 doctoral programs. KazNAU provides 6 student dormitories and 1 house accommodation for undergraduate students. There is a scientific library at Kazakh National Agrarian University which comprises of 5 departments that render services to readers, provides scientific and bibliographical service, automation service. The university also offers students with Electronic library service. The university has a Medical Center which provides primary medical care to all the students. KazNAU focuses on innovations in the agrarian sector and has set up numerous innovation centres to achieve this goal.
