Clarion University is part of the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education wherein there are 14 universities in total. It is a public university in Clarion, Pennsylvania and was founded on 10th of September 1867. It is also known as Golden Eagles. It is a rural campus of vast 201 acres. It offers bachelors, associate and master's degree. It also offers a post master's certificate and Doctoral degree. It has 294 faculty staff and 451 staff members and administration Dr. Dale-Elizabeth Pehrsson as the President. The student body of Clarion University is around about 5,225 students out of which 895 were graduate students and 4,330 were undergraduate. It has 51% graduation rate. The University programs are accredited by the Middle States Commission of Higher Education, which offers 39 nationally accredited programs. More than 130 student organizations are offered at Clarion university academic, political, Greek, service, multicultural and special interest groups. The Athletics department sponsors men's intercollegiate baseball, basketball, football, golf, swimming and diving, soccer and wrestling. It also sponsors women's intercollegiate softball, cross country, basketball, swimming and diving, soccer, golf, volleyball, track and field and tennis. All sports except wrestling, compete in NCCA Division II, whereas wrestling competes in NCCA Division I.
