History, Affiliations and Rankings

Charles University is a university situated in the heart of Prague, Czech Republic. Charles University was founded in 1348 during the rule of King of Bohemia and Holy Roman Emperor Charles IV. Eventually, it went on to become the first Studium generale north of the Alps and east of Paris.Established in 1348, Charles University is affiliated with the Coimbra Group, EUA and Europaeum.
