Chang Gung was established in 1987 as Chang Gung Medical College and later acquired the “university” status in 1997. The university along with Arizona State University set up an international Biosignatures aimed for the preservation, early detection, diagnosis and treatment of cancer and other diseases. The university is comprised of 3 main colleges namely the College of Engineering, College of Medicine and College of Management holding nearly 30 departments. In order to ensure effective management of institutional affairs, CGU has well-drawn rules and regulations with a focus on the efficiency of administration. Chang Gung University is a thriving residential campus stretched over 37-acres of foothills and plain.
