Situated in Ontario, North Canada, Canadore College is a government-funded college established in 1967. Earlier known as the College of Applied Arts and Technology, the college started as a part of Sudbury’s Cambrian College and became an independent institution in 1972. Canadore college is spread across a total of eight campuses including the Scarborough campus which offers a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs in several disciplines such as Accounting, Business Management, Civil Engineering, Computer Applications, Healthcare, Information Management, Product Management, Mechanical Engineering, Foreign Languages, Childhood Education, etc. The college has also created a student’s council comprising of student representatives and with the aim to promote social, cultural and athletic development of students. Further, the campus also has apartment-style residences for students. Canadore’s special sports department comprises of athletes who have competed at the Ontario College Athletic Association in volleyball championships. The college also hosts men’s club basketball team that plays in the North Bay City league. The Scarborough campus also offers part-time degree programs in various fields such as Business, Information Technology, Geography, Foreign Languages, Law and Justice, Transportation, Trade and Technology.
