The Adam Mickiewicz University, Pozna is a public education institution that is ranked third amongst Polish universities by the Times Higher Education Rankings (THE). With a rich history of over 100 years old, the Adam Mickiewicz University, Pozna has cultivated a strong tradition of achieving academic and scientific excellence through its innovative learning curriculums and research-intensive programs. Located in Greater Poland, the main and largest university campus is in Morasko along with two city campuses in Poznan and several branch campuses in Kalisz, Gniezno and Subice. When it was first established, the faculties of study were limited to Philosophy, Law and Economy, Medicine, Humanities, Mathematics and Natural Sciences and Agriculture and Forestry. As of today, the subjects in which it awards its highly specialised undergraduate, graduate and doctoral degrees range from Astronomy, Geology, and Computer Studies to Historical Studies, Psychology, Fine Arts and Modern Languages. More than 37,000 students are enrolled in the university. There are well over 3,000 acclaimed faculty members teaching at the university out of which around 150 are visiting professors from all corners of the world. In its eminent list of alumni and scholars are four Nobel Laureates: Pope John Paul II, Javier Solana, Wis?awa Szymborska and the distinguished radiologist Marie Curie.
