Funded by Global Affairs Canada, this program offers international students the opportunity to engage in short-term study or research exchanges at Canadian post-secondary institutions. A valid student exchange agreement that waives tuition fees is required.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Graduate (4 months)<\/td><td>$10,200<\/td><td>Four months<\/td><td>Study or research at the graduate level (Masters and PhD). A student exchange agreement is not required.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td>Graduate (5-6 months)<\/td><td>$12,700<\/td><td>Five to six months<\/td><td>Study or research at the graduate level.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to the funds allocated to the recipients by the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD), Canadian host institutions will receive $500 per scholarship recipient to assist with administrative costs once the scholarship recipient arrives in Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-very-light-gray-to-cyan-bluish-gray-gradient-background has-background\">Also Read: <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/leverageedu.com\/learn\/canada-tightens-study-permit-rules-news-2025-01\/\">Canada Tightens Study Permit Rules in 2025<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-eligible-expenses\"><span id=\"eligible-expenses\">Eligible Expenses<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Scholarship funds should be used towards:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Visa or study\/work permit fees<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Airfare for the scholarship recipient only via the most direct and economical route<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Health insurance<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Living expenses, such as accommodation, utilities, and food<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Ground transportation, including a public transportation pass<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Books and supplies required for the recipient\u2019s study or research, excluding computers and other equipment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-application-process\"><span id=\"application-process\">Application Process<\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Canadian institutions are responsible for submitting applications on behalf of eligible candidates. Interested students should contact their home institution\u2019s international office to learn about institutional partnerships and collaborations with Canadian institutions.
