The NEET, also known as the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test, is one of the most popular as well as important entrance examinations in India for students who want to build their careers in the medical field. Ashwini Kumar Choubey, the Minister of State for Health stated in the Parliament that there is no intention of abolishing the NEET exam.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She also stated that the medical examination<\/strong><\/a> has reduced the overall headache of the students appearing in different types of entrance examinations.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to the NEET <\/strong>exam, the standards of medical exams have been better. NEET also ensures that the malpractice level in India is as low as possible, which will lead to more transparency while also decreasing the burden on the specific students who are appealing in some specific entrance exams, stated the minister.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the other hand, if you have plans to complete your higher education in the medical field from reputed universities in the UK<\/strong>, USA, Canada, or London, you need to pay close attention to the requirements. Both academic as well as age requirements will have a massive impact on your application. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

You should never overlook the importance of NEET as this is a mandatory entrance test, whether you have plans to study abroad or not.  <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Effectiveness of NEET <\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The minister also said that section 10D from the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 conducts a uniform exam for budding Indian students who have plans to appear in the NEET exam<\/strong><\/a> at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels. This provisional act will be applied for conducting NEET across the different states of the country without any exceptions. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the minister, the court order from the apex had allowed the conduction of the NEET exam in India. It would help Indian students take admission to BDS or MBBS studies. Meanwhile, the MCI approved on Monday that the PG medical seats for MS and MD programmes have been increased from 4,800 to 36,000.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
