According to the Australian government, there will be strict visa rules for international students to reduce the immigrant intake for the next two years. The new regulations state that international students must now score higher on English language exams, and that a student\u2019s second visa application, which would extend their stay, will be examined very carefully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Students must generally obtain an overall IELTS score of at least 6.5, with no band lower than 6.0 for their postgraduate selections, in order to be eligible to study in Australia. Candidates should have obtained an overall score of at least 6.0 for courses at the undergraduate level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n On March 8, 2023 Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese announced an \u2018Australia-India education qualification recognition mechanism\u2019. As per this latest arrangement, degrees obtained in Australia will now be recognised in India, and, vice-versa, degrees obtained in India will be recognised in Australia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Australia loosened the restrictions on the number of working hours that foreign students were permitted to work during and after the Covid epidemic.
