Ans: <\/strong>The most difficult decision I had to make was picking a college and course of study after graduating from high school. I still recall how much of an impasse I was in at the moment. The decision was a watershed moment in my life, and if I had gone another road, the conclusion would have been drastically different, and not in a good way. However, I am grateful to my father for assisting me in making the correct decision by leading me through my difficulty and showing me the light in my state of conundrum. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Choosing an appropriate institution that matches your professional path is one of the most important events in the life of any middle-class Indian. Such a decision can make or break someone’s professional trajectory and even has a significant impact on one’s life path. In retrospect, I was only able to wander through such a major decision on my own because of my parents’ counsel and support throughout my journey. In the end, it was their experience and foresight that guided me along the right route. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

My parents understood I had always wanted to be a filmmaker, and pursuing Engineering or any other technical job would have jeopardised my dreams. They knew I would be unhappy studying such courses because I have always been a creative person and attending engineering universities would have killed my creativity and the passion to create art. When I think back on that pivotal moment, I still feel goosebumps since at the time, I had given up hope and opted to pursue what my friends were doing, i.e., engineering or computer science. My parents became my anchors at the moment, showing me the way out of the darkness. They advised me to pursue my true passion, which is to write stories and make films. They taught me that engineering was not for me and that I should not take a course just because it is the most popular in the country. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

In essence, I will be eternally grateful to my parents for guiding me down the right path. In retrospect, if I had selected an engineering course, even from a prestigious college, I would not have been as content as I am now. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
